Synanceia verrucosa. Stone Fish are stunning and truly unique fish. Stone Fish are found in various hues of reds including pinks and purples. Stone Fish have bodies that resemble algae covered rocks to fool would be meals to swim close to them.
Stone Fish reach a maximum adult size of around 14 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 150 gallons in size. Stone Fish are aggressive fish and will eat any fish that they can fit into their mouths. For this reason, Stone Fish are terrible fish to add into your reef tank.
