Comes (Ringtail) Seahorse: Tank Raised

Hippocampus comes. The Tiger-Tail Seahorse is native to the soft coral reefs of Malaysia. This is a beautiful species that is yellow or black in coloration, with stunning markings around the eyes. The males of this species are often times black, while the females are typically yellow. They have many stripes and blotchy markings, providing them with valuable camouflage.
The Tiger-Tail Seahorse reacts poorly to being harassed by other more aggressive fish such as: blennies, gobies, wrasses, tobies, triggerfish, and porcupinefish.
The Tiger-Tail Seahorse is a slow, deliberate feeder, so fast, aggressive fish will out-compete it for food. Seahorses tend to get along with pipefish, but they are a slightly faster feeder than the seahorse and may not leave behind enough food. These seahorses should be fed at least twice a day.
