Abalistes stellatus. The Starry Triggerfish is a very rare and beautiful trigger. Starry Triggers have a mostly white body with strong black markings along their back and yellow spots all along their bodies which resemble stars, hence their name. As the Starry Triggerfish ages, the black markings start to fade.
Starry Triggers reach a maximum adult size of around 24 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 300 gallons in size. Starry Triggerfish are aggressive fish that will bother smaller fish and most inverts. For this reason, Starry Triggers are a bad choice of fish to add to reef tanks.
