Saddle Anthias: Male

The saddle anthias (Pseudanthias tuka) is a species of marine fish that belongs to the family Serranidae. It is also known as the twospot or two-spot anthias.

The saddle anthias is found in the tropical waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, particularly around coral reefs. It has a vibrant appearance, with a pinkish-orange body and two distinct black spots on its back. Males are generally larger and more colorful than females.

This species is a schooling fish that feeds on planktonic organisms, including zooplankton and small crustaceans. It is a hermaphrodite, which means that individuals can change from female to male as they mature. The saddle anthias forms harems, with a single dominant male and several females. When the male dies, the largest female in the harem will change sex and become the new dominant male.
