Chaetodon zanzibarensis, also known as the Zanzibar butterflyfish, is a species of marine fish belonging to the family Chaetodontidae. It is found in the western Indian Ocean, ranging from the coast of East Africa to the Arabian Gulf.
The Zanzibar butterflyfish has a striking appearance, with a predominantly yellow body and black bands on its sides. It can grow up to 18 centimeters (7 inches) in length.
This species is typically found in coral reef habitats, where it feeds on a variety of small invertebrates such as polychaete worms, small crustaceans, and coral polyps. It is a peaceful fish that can be kept in a community tank with other non-aggressive fish.
