The Pixy Spotted Hawkfish is a very attractive and unique fish. Pixy Spotted Hawkfish have a mostly red body with strong white splotches on it. Pixy Spotted Hawkfish tend to support their bodies with their pectoral fins, which is a very interesting behavior to witness.
Pixy Spotted Hawkfish reach a maximum adult size of around 4 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Pixy Spotted Hawkfish are aggressive fish and will bother small fish and fish its size that are added to your aquarium after it. Pixy Spotted Hawkfish will also eat some smaller inverts. For these reasons, you need to proceed with caution when adding a Pixy Spotted Hawkfish to your reef tank.
