Acanthurus tristis. Rarely seen in the trade having a laterally compressed body and a small mouth, such as angelfishes and butterflyfishes and having a pale brown body with dark colored dorsal, anal and tail fins, with white edging on the tail. As a juvenile, has several vertical reddish body bands.
